Management should all be fired and replaced by production people. We couldn't mess it up as much as they do.
Thursday afternoon at 2:45 pm the decision to cut 5 was made. By Friday morning at 6:15 it was cut to 4 and made official.
Yesterday morning at 11:15 am I had a message to call work regarding my surplus. Somebody, somewhere, decided that 4 people in one day was too much of a shock to the department. So..... They were only going to surplus 2 this week, and 2 in two weeks.
They started with high seniority on the surplus list and started asking from there. Stay or go. #1 Tony said go. #2 Guy ( his real name) said stay. #3 Bobbie said stay. #4 Connie is forced to go.
Stupidity, most certainly.
For me it was actually nothing short of a miracle. My worst nightmare would have come true. For me bottom man would have been, large build in positive drive. Not a job I could even have hoped to do.
Who knows what the mix will be in two weeks when I go in, but bottom won't be large build in PD.
As Martha would say.
"That's a good thing".
